  • Lupus nephritis is a common and severe complication of systemic lupus erythematosus.
  • Its aetiology and pathology, however, remain unknown to date.
  • 1,25-dihydroxy vitamin D3 is the active form of vitamin D, which has shown important functions in inflammatory and immune-related diseases.
